In view of ‘Sadak bandh’ called by the Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) on Thursday, Cyberabad police have made elaborate arrangements, including posting of pickets and check-posts at Shamshabad and surrounding areas under its jurisdiction.

Emphasis would be on avoiding any inconvenience to the general public and to safeguard public property. Measures would be taken to facilitate smooth flow of traffic from and towards Shamshabad airport, claimed Cyberabad Police Commissioner Dwaraka Tirumala Rao.

Violation of rules and damage to public property is strictly prohibited and police would initiate strict action against persons involving in such activities.

Instructions have been issued to field staff at pickets and check-posts to permit ambulances to move across Shamshabad and other areas, said Mr. Rao.

He appealed to people going towards Kurnool to take the Srisailam route or Kodangal, Makthal-Alampur route to avoid inconvenience.
