Miscreants attacked the office of CVR Telugu TV news channel late on Tuesday night at Filmnagar crossroads in Jubilee Hills.

The attackers damaged window panes of the office building and a four-wheeler by hurling stones. The group of three persons barged into the office around 11.30 p.m. and even tried to assault some employees, the police said.

Employees of the channel said the attack was a consequence of a news story about Lanco company owned by Congress MP Rajagopal suffering losses in some transactions.

The police took two persons into custody in connection with the incident after registering a criminal case and said they were ascertaining motive behind the attack.
