Chief Secretary P.K. Mohanty has convened a meeting of all IAS officers here on May 25.
Mr. Mohanty in his letter to all the bureaucrats said that the objective of the conference was to take feedback from the bureaucrats about the challenges of bifurcation and solutions.
The meeting to be presided over by the Chief Secretary will have a presentation on bifurcation process by Special Chief Secretary, Planning, Tucker. Though the bifurcation may geographically divide the State, people in both the successor States will share same cultural ethos and this should be borne in mind by the bureaucrats to whichever State they would be allotted to and focus on good governance, Mr. Mohanty is believed to have said in his letter to all the IAS officers.
The last conference of IAS officers in the united State will also see the bureaucrats sharing their experiences during the recent conduct of local body and general elections, challenges of tackling natural calamities and various agitations that rocked the State and the way the civil administration rose to the challenges.
Mr. Mohanty who is away in Delhi to attend a meeting of Pratyush Sinha committee to formulate guidelines for distribution of All-India Services officers indicated that the guidelines will be finalised only after May 26 when the new Union government would be in place.
