Cricket tourney to promote friendly policing

The Police Department will organise a cricket tournament to promote friendly policing as part of the State formation day celebrations in Gajwel Assembly constituency, represented by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Reddy.

Home Minister Naini Narasimha Reddy, Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao and Director General of Police Anurag Sharma will attend the inauguration of the tournament at Laxmakkapalli village in Mulug mandal on Monday. The Chief Minister will present prizes on May 30, which will be the last day.

Workshop

At SRR government college in Karimnagar, a workshop on ‘Telangana cinema – status and direction’ will be held on Monday to discuss history and script-writing in films to do with Telangana.
