Court calls for file in former minister’s case

Justice Shameem Akhthar of Hyderabad High Court has asked the police to produce by Monday a file regarding the case registered against Sridhar Babu, former minister and Congress leader. The judge was dealing with an anticipatory bail filed by the latter in a criminal case.

Sridhar lamented over being shown as an accused in a narcotics case, labelling it political vendetta. Calling for records, the judge said he will hear the arguments on Monday.
