Need for installing around 550 CCTV cameras in the complex, say police

A cordon and search operation at the Chenoy Trade Centre on Saturday saw at least two dozen shops operating without trade licences and the need for installing around 550 CCTV cameras.

With an aim to create awareness of “Safe Business Area’, as many as 482 cops from the North Zone were involved in the operation. Cops said that there is a need to install around 550 CCTV cameras in addition to the existing ones.

Cops seized 33 vehicles which did not have proper documents. Four Copyright Act cases were booked against business owners for selling duplicate cartridges. Duplicate perfumes were also found.
