Congress rally an utter flop, say TRS leaders

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi has claimed that the Congress rally at Jadcherla was an utter flop as the latter party had taken up a door-to-door campaign with the aim to mobilise 30,000 people but ended up gathering only a few thousand of them.

Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, Health Minister C. Laxma Reddy and TRS MLAs V. Srinivas Goud and Ala Venkateswara Reddy said the Congress leaders boasted about success of the rally out of frustration that they were not in power and that they were nowhere near coming to power in near future.

They rebutted the criticism about family rule led by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao in TRS and said Mr. Rao’s son K.T. Rama Rao, daughter K. Kavitha and nephew T. Harish Rao emerged on the political spectrum by taking active part in Telangana movement and winning the mandate of people. Mr. Rama Rao won worldwide appreciation for his role in global entrepreneurship summit here last month.

Like the Telugu Desam, they said the Congress will also be reduced to a non-entity in the State.
