Country Club chairman Rajeev Reddy on Thursday charged the Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) authorities of “selective targeting” and not carrying out works in a transparent manner.
“The HMR has flouted all norms by ignoring the High Court stay order on the demolition of the Country Club Global corporate office in Begumpet. We will file a request with the High Court to direct a CBI probe into its arbitrary functioning since tax payers money is involved,” said Mr. Reddy at a press conference here.
He further claimed that HMR authorities did not send him a notice about acquiring his land. “However, they are actively looking to acquire private land. Also, when we filed a Right to Information (RTI) petition to seek clarity on the demolition of the property, the reply received was that the information was classified and could not be shared,” Mr. Reddy added.
