Convention to be held in Japan from September 8 to 10

The 74-year-old P. Chinnappa Reddy, former Technical Advisor (sports and physical education) to the unified AP Government and now president of the National Association of Physical Education and Sports Sciences (NAPESS), has been given the pride of place by being invited to deliver a lecture on NAPESS during the 68th annual conference of Japan Society of Physical Education, Health and Sports Sciences at Sizuoka University (Japan) at the convention to be held in Japan from September 8 to 10.

Prof. Reddy, who is also the Scientific Advisor of US-based Global Community Health (GCH), will be among the 2,000 participants from across the Globe who debate and discuss on the road map for the 2020 Olympics to be held in Tokyo.

Dr. P. Ravi Kumar, Head, Department of Physical Education, National Institute of Technology (Warangal) and treasurer of NAPESS, will be accompanying Prof. Reddy.

It may be mentioned here that Prof. Reddy was actively involved in the conduct of the inaugural Afro-Asian Games and also during the first World Military Games when Hyderabad hosted them.

A familiar personality in the field of physical education, Prof. Reddy also completed a rare century of attending 82 national and 18 international conferences on the subject so far.
