CDMA donates HHUDCO prize money to CMRF

Director of Municipal Administration T. K. Sreedevi has donated the cash prize of ₹1 lakh received from HUDCO to the Chief Minister Relief Fund (CMRF) and handed over the cheque to Minister for IT & Municipal Administration K.T. Rama Rao on Friday.

The cash prize was given for best practice in Urban Governance for Mapping 12.50 lakhs properties in 72 urban local bodies. The Municipal Administration Department has collected ₹43 crore additionally over last year without hiking the taxes by unearthing under assessments and unassessed properties too in all the 12.50 lakhs properties as these were mapped with the help of satellite data and ground based photographs, a press release said.
