Case against Andhra Prabha editor

The Jubilee Hills police on Friday registered a criminal case against the editor of Andhra Prabha news daily, and another person, Shaik Mahaboob Bhadrachalam, following a complaint lodged by MIM Malakpet MLA Balala. The complainant charged that an article published in the newspaper outraged religious feelings. Based on his complaint, Section 295A (deliberate and malicious acts intending to outrage religious feelings) of the Indian Penal Code was registered. Mr. Shaik wrote the article, the police said.
