The Bhadrachalam town police on Wednesday arrested an alleged burglar and recovered 11.5 tola stolen gold ornaments from him in the temple town.
The arrested was identified as 25-year-old Vimal Kumar, a native of Krishna district of neighbouring Andhra Pradesh.
He was allegedly involved in as many as 11 cases of property offences in the temple town.
He was apprehended by a police team led by town SI P Karunakar on the bus stand road on Wednesday afternoon.
The police seized ₹40,000 cash apart from the stolen gold ornaments from his possession.
Bhadrachalam Assistant Superintendent of Police Sunil Dutt appreciated the town police for their well-coordinated action in nabbing the burglar and recovering the stolen property.
