December 17, 2014 01:05 am | Updated 01:05 am IST - HYDERABAD:

To encourage construction activity in the city, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) would simplify the present building permission procedures and introduce a single challan building permission, GHMC Commissioner and Special Officer Somesh Kumar said.

At a meeting with representatives of Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India (CREDAI) here on Monday, he asked the officials to study the possibilities of simplifying the procedures and starting a single permission from January 15, 2015. The CREDAI members sought restructuring the property tax system and allow them pay online by filing self assessment proposals, according to a press release.
