The Telangana State Government has given its in principle nod to producers of the much-awaited Bahubali -2: The Conclusion to screen the film five shows a day.

Cinematography Minister T. Srinivas Yadav expressed the government’s preparedness when the producers of the film led by Prasad Devineni called on him at the Secretariat on Monday and made the request.

The State Government is committed to encourage films made with historical background as was evident from the tax exemption given earlier to Rudrama Devi and Gautamiputra Satakarni .

He said Bahubali had set several records in terms of viewership and collections, and that the producers had succeeded in taking the film to the international stage. The second part of the epic is set for worldwide release in more than 2,000 theatres on April 28.

Mr. Srinivas Yadav appreciated the untiring efforts of the film unit headed by director S.S. Rajamouli as well as the workers and technicians in making the film a block buster.

The Minister expressed concern over reports that the tickets of the film were being sold in black market and said the government is committed to introduce online ticketing system to tackle the menace.

Online ticketing system, once introduced, would ensure that interested viewers are not put to hardships in getting tickets while it would also generate more revenue to the government, the Minister said.

Mr. Prasad Devineni thanked the Minister and the State Government for extending their full cooperation to the film unit.

Information and Public Relations Commissioner Navin Mittal and senior officials of the Film Development Corporation were present.
