An engineering student was raped allegedly by an auto-driver known to her, at Keesara on Tuesday, the police said. The accused offered lift to the victim in his vehicle and took her to an isolated place and sexually violated her modesty. Based on her complaint, the police registered a case and launched a manhunt to nab the accused person.
Two vehicle-lifters arrested Two persons, who were allegedly involved in stealing vehicles, were arrested by the Rajendranagar police on Tuesday. Two bikes were recovered from them. The accused - Yelam Srinivas (24) and Pothuraju Ramesh Raj (28), used to steal bikes from parking places. They were caught during the vehicle checking, the police said.
