Architects convention from Dec. 2

The national convention of Indian Institute of Architects (IIA) will be held between December 2 and 3 at Shilpa Kala Vedika, Madhapur. The theme of the convention, in which over 2,000 top architects from the Country are expected to participate, is ‘Emerging Trends and Issues in Indian Architecture'.

In addition to the convention, the State chapter of IIA is also organising a building material exhibition ‘Arch Show' at Shilpa Kala Vedika. The exhibition, which will remain open between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m., will display wide range and new products for benefit of architects and general public, Chairman of IIA, AP chapter, D. T. Vinod Kumar, while addressing press persons here on Tuesday, said.

The mega event will feature top architect who will talk on a wide array of subjects related to architecture in the Country.

Noted architect Hafeez Contractor from Mumbai will be the key note speaker during the national convention, the IIA officials said.

Several issues will be discussed during the course of the convention.
