Scientific Advisor to Defence Minister Dr. G. Satheesh Reddy has been selected for the first joint award established by the Institution of Engineers (India) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
According to a press release, the IEI-IEEE joint award has been established to give global recognition to local engineering contribution par excellence. The award will be presented at the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the Asia-Pacific Region of IEEE to be held at Bangalore on August 24, 2016.
Jury comprising of eminent engineering professionals including Prof. B.S. Sonde, former Vice-Chancellor, University of Goa, and Dr. T.K. Alex, member, Space Commission, have chosen Dr. Reddy for the award.
