AAP seeks probe

The Aam Aadmi Party – Telangana, on Monday filed a complaint with the Lok Ayukta asking for a full fledged investigation into the ‘Shaadi Mubarak’ scheme.

Prof. P. L Vishweshwar Rao, spokesperson for AAP, in his complaint sought investigation into the subsidy-linked bank loans, functioning of computer training centres and libraries, siphoning of Rs. 55.47 crore belonging to APMFC in 2012, role of employees and verification of details of the beneficiaries under various welfare schemes. Mr. Rao also wanted criminal and departmental action against officials who had a role in the fraud. He also asked for a full fledged investigation into all the irregularities in Minority Welfare Department since 2012.
