Nearly 150 women of all age groups have a blast at The Hindu Heels on Wheels
It was literally a women’s day out.
They took the steering wheel and hit the road on a treasure hunt. And Sunday turned out to be memorable for the participants of the third edition of The Hindu Heels on Wheels - The All Women Car Treasure Hunt.
As many as 135 women of all age groups participated in the hunt, which was flagged off by the AP Industrial Infrastructure Corporation MD Jayesh Ranjan from Prasad’s Imax. Participants had to crack as many as nine clues on the 22-km route to head further and return to the venue.
“There are many expectations as I was the champion last time,” said Sana Khaled before pressing the pedal.
With the top prize being Rs. 50,000, it turned out to be a closely contested event as the time difference between the top six was just a few minutes.
However, it was the debutant team of Nisha Rathi that emerged the winner, followed by another first-timer team of a mother and daughter, Yasmeen Ali and Kaunain Ali, the first runner-up.
“We had a blast. Though some clues were a bit tough to crack, we are glad to have made it,” chortled Shraddha Doshi and Sridevi Nadella, the winners.
There were plenty of off-road activities, too, including live bangles making, balloon shooting, nail painting and make-up.
Satyajit Pratap, Assistant General Manager, SBI, the event presenter, handed over the cheques to the winners. Indian Oil Servo was the associate sponsor, while Taj Tristar, Bisleri, Country Oven, Durga Jewellers were the other sponsors.
