A chance to become world youth scrabble champion

July 15, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 05:38 am IST - HYDERABAD:

Collins India, publisher of textbooks for the CBSE, ICSE and State board curriculum in Indian schools, has launched the popular School Scrabble championship in association with Mindsports Academy.

The championship, which is open to schools initially across Hyderabad and Chandigarh, will offer winners a chance to represent India at the World Youth Scrabble Championships in Lille, France, in August 2016.

Schools have to first sign up on the Mindsports Academy website and set up Scrabble clubs in their schools for students aged between 8 and 12 years.

These clubs would then initiate the tournament and Collins India as well as Mindsports Academy will assist the school authorities, according to Ananth Padmanabhan, CEO, HarperCollins India. Details can be had on email ‘Kanav.Agnihotri@harpercollins-india.com.’
