Healthcare start-up Celes Care on Tuesday launched a virtual health clinic for women.
The facility will provide tech-enabled tele-health services.
Using their mobile phones, the patients can connect with a trained female physician in less than a minute. IT Minister K.T.Rama Rao and Dr.Steven Steinhubl, cardiologist and Director of Digital Medicine at STSI, San Diego participated in the launch function, a release from the company said.
Founded by Silicon Valley entrepreneur Raghu Bathina and Interventional Radiologist Dr. Rajah Koppala, Celes Care had recently closed a pre-series A round of funding of $ 1.5 million. Ventureast, Endiya Partners, Eight Roads Ventures, Boston based F-Prime Capital Partners and Dr.Varaprasad Reddy are among those who have invested in the firm.
“With over 10,000 consultations completed since the soft-launch, we have witnessed a strong demand for our services. Given that many medical issues can be handled via telehealth, Celes aims to provide instant, affordable and accessible healthcare,” said Medical Director Dr.Koppala.
Convergence of genomics, digital devices and precision medicine, Dr. Steinhubl said would transform the future of healthcare delivery around the globe.
