SCR hikes platform ticket price at Kacheguda

January 10, 2017 12:57 am | Updated 12:57 am IST - HYDERABAD:

South Central Railway has temporarily announced an increase in the platform ticket rate at Kacheguda from Rs. 10 to Rs. 20, in order to regulate the flow of non-travelling public between January 10 and 17.

The move is said to be taken with a view to decongest the platforms during the Sankranti festival when the station would see a huge footfall of rail travellers accompanied by non-travellers, leading to a burgeoning on the platforms.

Trains cancelled

Meanwhile, several trains have been cancelled due to late running of their pairing trains.

A South Central Railway press release informed that train no. 16354 Nagercoil – Kacheguda Express scheduled to leave on January 10 was cancelled.

Other trains that were scheduled to leave on Jan. 11 that were cancelled include no. 12716 Amritsar-H.S. Nanded Express, no. 12626 New Delhi-Trivandrum Central Kerala Express, no. 16353 Kacheguda-Nagercoil Express, no. 12616 Delhi Sarai Rohila-Chennai Central Grand Trunk Express and no. 12722 Nizamuddin-Hyderabad/Visakhapatnam Dakshin Express.
