South Central Railway has temporarily announced an increase in the platform ticket rate at Kacheguda from Rs. 10 to Rs. 20, in order to regulate the flow of non-travelling public between January 10 and 17.
The move is said to be taken with a view to decongest the platforms during the Sankranti festival when the station would see a huge footfall of rail travellers accompanied by non-travellers, leading to a burgeoning on the platforms.
