The Neredmet police served a notice on Sourav Gupta, owner of Kissmelody, an event management company, for allegedly taking money and not organising an event.
A case was registered against him on January 20 after a customer lodged a complaint stating that Mr. Gupta had taken ₹16 lakh last year and did not conduct the event.
Baby found abandoned
A baby girl, believed to be 20 to 25 days old, was found abandoned by the Keesara police on Saturday. After getting the infant medically examined, she was handed to the Child Welfare Committee, said a police official.
“We are investigating and trying to find her parents,” the official added.
10 injured
A family of 10 escaped with minor injuries after the autorickshaw they were travelling in turned on one side and fell, at Pedda Shapur village under the Shamshabad police station limits on Sunday.
The incident took place when the family was going towards Chandrayangutta after going to the Jahagir Pir dargah, said a police official. No case was registered.
Nurses held
More than 60 outsourced nurses, who were protesting inside the Gandhi Hospital, were taken into preventive custody by the north zone police and shifted to the Bollarum police station. The police booked a case against them on Sunday based on a complaint lodged by the Superintendent of the hospital.
The nurses were reportedly demanding regularisation of their jobs.
