Jallikattu will inspire Andhra people: Pawan Kalyan

January 22, 2017 12:09 am | Updated 12:09 am IST - HYDERABAD:

The spontaneity of Jallikattu agitation and the unity displayed by people from all sections and leaders of all political parties should serve as an inspiration for political leaders in Andhra Pradesh in fighting for special status, said actor and founder of Jana Sena Party, Pawan Kalyan.

In a press release, he welcomed the ordinance on Jallikattu, terming it a decision taken at the right time, before the agitation turned into one akin to the anti-Hindi agitation in the State. The Centre too had displayed presence of mind, he said, adding that the agitation held a mirror to people’s unbridled anger if culture and traditional diversity was not respected.
