3 feared drowned near Bhadrachalam

Three persons including a sister-brother duo from a residential colony in Bhadrachalam are feared drowned in Godavari river at Medivai in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh on Thursday. Sources said Ramu, 20, and his sister Aruna 25 and their relative Rani, 16, were washed away in the river while washing clothes at Medivai near Bhadrachalam town late in the afternoon. The Bhadrachalam town sub-inspector of police Karunakar rushed to the spot and joined his counterparts of the neighbouring State in the rescue operations to trace the missing trio. The trio remained untraced till reports last came in.
