25-year-old hangs himself

A petty businessman P. Lingamaiah, 25, hanged himself to death at his house in Singareni colony of Saidabad on Saturday.

Police said Lingamaiah, who arrived at his house in a drunk, picked up a quarrel with his wife over some issue. Later, he hanged himself to death, Saidabad Sub Inspector Md. Anees said.

45-year-old dies

A 45-year-old man, who allegedly consumed poison last Wednesday, died while undergoing treatment at the Osmania General Hospital on Sunday.

Police said M. Mallaiah, of Urrella village in Chevalla mandal of Ranga Reddy district, resorted to the act due to financial problems. Chevalla police are investigating.

Road mishap victim dies

A 21-year-old man who was undergoing treatment for injuries sustained in a road accident at Mylardevpally on Wednesday night, succumbed to his injuries on Sunday.

Police said G. Srinivas, a painter, was on a bike with his friend at Katedan when the vehicle landed in a ditch and both fell down. Srinivas sustained serious injuries and was shifted to the OGH for treatment where he died.

Man hit by train, dies

An unidentified man, aged about 37 years, was killed after he was hit by a train between Shivrampally and Budvel railway stations on Saturday. The deceased was wearing a red colour shirt and brown pants. The body is preserved at the OGH mortuary.

Burns victim dies

K. Balavva, 60, who was undergoing treatment for burns, died on Sunday. Police said

Balavva, a washerman, was preparing tea at his house in Aakarram village of Medak district when his clothes accidentally caught fire, leading to burns. He was shifted to the Gandhi Hospital where he died. Police are investigating.
