250 gunners pass out of Artillery Centre

A total of 250 gunners passed out of the Artillery Centre in Hyderabad on Saturday.

Stating that thus they attained the status of combatant soldiers, an official release, on the passing out parade, said the young soldiers earned their status of gunners after 34 weeks of strenuous training.

Major General S.K. Panigrahi, Chief of Staff, Dakshin Bharat Area, who was the reviewing officer, called upon the soldiers to keep abreast of the latest technological developments. He urged them to achieve professional competence and traditional qualities of a real gunner. The reviewing offer gave away medals to outstanding recruits and ‘Gaurav Padak’ to the parents. Prior to the ceremony, Education Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs) explained the years old traditions of the Regiment of Artillery.
