166 engineering colleges asked to explain

The Telangana Admission and Fee Regulatory Committee has sought explanation from 166 engineering colleges about anomalies detected in their functioning on the basis of information furnished by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University.

The committee stated in a release that the JNTU had informed it about incorrect details about staff members working in certain engineering colleges. The details of qualification of staff as furnished by colleges did not corroborate with results from verification carried out by JNTU.
