He is accused in 42 cases across India

The Special Cell claimed to have arrested a criminal wanted in Delhi, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh. The Delhi and UP Police had declared a bounty of ₹2 lakh on his head.

Sahun (38), who belongs to UP and is a member of the Sahun-Salli gang, was arrested on Tuesday from Kalindi Kunj, the police said.

According to the police, he is an accused in 42 cases, including murder, attempt to murder and kidnapping, across the country and was booked under the Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA) in 2013.

Tip-off

According to a tip-off on Monday, Sahun was hiding in a village in Haryana. However, he fled before the police reached the spot. On Tuesday, he was spotted at Kalindi Kunj chowk around 5.30 a.m. “He open fired at the team but was overpowered,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) P. S. Kushwah.
