Due to extensive security arrangements made in preparation for the Jat agitation, massive traffic snarls were witnessed in UP-NCR areas on Sunday.

Jams were reported from Mayur Vihar to Mahamaya flyover in Noida, and Sectors 1, 16 and 62, and Kalindi Kunj.

Snarls in Ghaziabad

Vehicular movement was disturbed as the Delhi Police sealed the UP-Delhi borders in order to prevent protesters from entering the Capital. Noida and Ghaziabad also witnessed jams, which led to further snarls in Hapur, Loni, Baghpat and Bulandshahr.

Entry points choked

Entry points to Delhi from Noida-DND Flyway, Kalindi Kunj and New Ashok Nagar were sealed and intensive checking of vehicles was conducted.

This disturbed vehicular movement, especially the traffic coming from Noida and Ghaziabad towards Delhi.

Advisory issued

The Noida Traffic Police has issued an advisory to commuters about the sealed border points.
