The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation will start selling entry tickets for the India International Trade Fair's business days (November 14 to 18) from terminal and interchange stations on all lines from this Sunday.
The stations from where tickets could be purchased are Rithala, Dilshad Garden, Jehangirpuri, HUDA City Centre, Noida City Centre, Dwarka Sector-21, Anand Vihar, Yamuna Bank, Central Secretariat, Sarita Vihar, Inderlok, Mundka, Kashmere Gate, Rajiv Chowk and Pragati Maidan Metro Station.
However, the sale of IITF entry tickets for general public days will start only from November 19 at all 132 metro stations that are currently operational. These tickets can be purchased from customer care centres at all the stations.
While “business days” tickets are priced at Rs.400, the “general days” entry tickets between November 19 and 27 for adults are priced at Rs.40 on weekdays and Rs.60 on weekends and holidays. For children, the entry tickets are priced at Rs.20 on weekdays and Rs.30 on weekends and holidays.
The IITF tickets will be sold from stations only for the same day as the tickets are day-specific. No advance tickets will be available for sale. The DMRC is expecting massive crowds to use the Pragati Maidan metro station and additional ticket counters will be opened at Pragati Maidan.
Between November 19 and 27, there will be 24 manual ticket counters functioning at Pragati Maidan metro station. Additional DMRC personnel, customer facilitation agents and security staff will also be deployed at all stations on these days.
DMRC said that during last year's trade fair, the average daily footfall (entry/exit) at Pragati Maidan metro station was about one lakh passengers per day.
