January 12, 2012 12:35 pm | Updated July 25, 2016 08:32 pm IST - NEW DELHI:

Two women call centre employees and a cab driver sustained minor burn injuries after their office car caught fire in Rohini here on Wednesday.

Anita (23) and Tanya (25), who work at a call centre in Noida Sector-60, were on their way to office in a Swift Dezire when they smelt something burning on reaching Avantika Chowk around 6-30 p.m. and asked driver Rambir to check.

As soon as Rambir stepped out, a fire broke out engulfing the car. However, Rambir managed to pull the girls out in the nick of time.

“The two women have sustained five per cent burns and Rambir had burn injuries on the face. The three were taken to Jaipur Golden Hospital and discharged after first-aid. The car was gutted,” said a senior police officer. It was not immediately known what caused the fire, the police said.

The Delhi Fire Service sent two fire tenders to the spot to douse the flames.
