A day after the north-west district police claimed to have arrested three Ola drivers for allegedly robbing other taxi drivers, the cab aggregator claimed the trio did not work for them any more.

In a statement, an Ola spokesperson said Rahul Wadhwa (25), Jatin Oberoi (32) and Bhuvan Sakhuja (24) had been blacklisted by the company. An official said one of them was blacklisted late last year and the others earlier this year after the company vetted their profile. However, he refused to share details on why they were blacklisted.

The spokesperson also claimed that the company assisted the police in catching the thieves.

“We shared all information we had on the said trips with the police and will continue to assist them in their investigation,” the statement read.

However, a senior police officer privy to the case denied the company’s claim saying the accused told them that they were still with the company.
