The crash turned out to be a public spectacle as residents of several villages in and around Najafgarh flocked to Kair village to catch a glimpse of the fallen plane.
They arrived with their families in SUVs and on motorcycles and brought with them opportunities for small businesses to make some quick bucks.
Fathers carried their children in their arms, trying to get as close to the plane in a bid to give the little ones a better view of the insides.
Much of the fields surrounding the plane had to be converted into unofficial parking lots.
Within an hour of the crash, ice-cream and softie vendors, bottled water sellers and the likes began to flow into the fields and the products sold like hot cake in the summer heat.
The police faced a tough time managing the crowd even as they kept warning the public of the possibility of a blast. Later, they were able to cordon off the area.
