Six men were thrashed by unidentified men in Outer Delhi's Baba Haridas Nagar for allegedly transporting buffalo calves to a slaughter house in East Delhi's Ghazipur. The police have registered an FIR based on the complaint made by the son of one of the injured men.

The incident happened on Friday night when Salim, Ali Jaan, Shauken, Dilshan, Saif Ali and Kaala were passing the area. "A PCR call was received stating that the public caught some men who had calves in two trucks. When the police reached the spot, they found the men beaten up and the vehicles vandalised," said a senior police officer.

The injured were rushed to Rao Tula Ram Hospital. While five of them were released, Ali Jaan is undergoing treatment because of the severity of his condition.

An FIR was registered under the relevant sections of the IPC and the investigation has begun.
