The Congress party on Friday slammed the Aam Aadmi Party Government for deciding to hold a special session of the Delhi Assembly on February 16 at IGI Stadium to pass the Jan Lokpal Bill.

Terming the decision of the State Government “unconstitutional”, Delhi Congress chief Arvinder Singh said: “India has so many legislative bodies and in the 65-year-old history of the country, there has been no example of an Assembly session being held outside the designated House. Delhi does not have jungle rule. It is totally unconstitutional to hold the session outside the House, as any legislation passed at a session outside the designated House will not have any legal sanctity.”
