How various departments and schemes of the Delhi government have fared in the second quarter of 2017-2018 will be reviewed by Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia starting next week.

The second quarter review of the Outcome Budget, which includes 1,938 indicators, will be held from November 28 to December 7, as per a notice by the Planning Department sent to all departments on Wednesday.

Two-hour slots

The Ministers-incharge and officers of the respective departments have been given two-hour slots for the review meetings, where they will present details of progress as well as action taken after the first review in July.

The review will start with Environment and Forest, Food and Civil Supplies, and Weights and Measures Departments on November 28, followed by Social Welfare and SC/ST Departments later that day. The work of the Labour, Employment, Irrigation and Flood Control and Development departments will be reviewed on November 29. On November 30 and December 5, Health, Home, Industries, Power, Urban Development and Public Works Department will be reviewed. Mr. Sisodia’s Departments, Education, Woman and Child Development, Tourism, Art and Culture and Planning, will be reviewed on December 6. Transport, Revenue, Administrative Reforms and IT Departments will be reviewed on December 7.

Detailed targets

The 2017-2018 budget is the first one to have detailed targets for outcomes. The first quarter review was held in July. While the report of the first quarter review has not been made public by the government, sources say issues regarding recording of data to assess outcomes had cropped up.
