The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Wednesday rejected the anticipatory bail plea of the three trustees of Ryan International School in connection with the murder case of the seven-year-old student in the school’s Gurugram branch.

The trustees, including Augustine. F. Pinto, Grace Pinto and Ryan Pinto had filed an application for anticipatory bail in the Punjab and Haryana High Court on September 16, after their bail plea was rejected by the Bombay High Court on September 14.

Justice Inderjit Singh, who was hearing the case, also issued notice to the Haryana government, seeking its version in the matter. The court has also refused to stay their arrest in the murder case of class II student Pradyuman Thakur who was found with his throat slit in the school’s washroom on September 8.

The school’s bus conductor Ashok was arrested in connection with the crime.

Earlier on Tuesday, Justice A.B. Chaudhari of the Punjab and Haryana High Court recused himself from hearing the anticipatory bail application of three trustees.

The case will now be taken up for hearing on September 25.
