Protest against DJB tanker scam

May 09, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 08:22 am IST - NEW DELHI:

Delhi BJP will hold protest outside the DJB headquarters and its offices on Monday, protesting against the AAP government’s “silence” over the alleged Rs 400-crore tanker scam during Sheila Dikshit regime.

Delhi BJP president Satish Upadhyay, MPs and senior leaders will take part in the protests at DJB headquarters, the party’s media in charge, Praveen Kapoor said. “Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who has been claiming to end corruption, should answer why he is now silent on the DJB scam of Rs 400 crore under Congress government,” Upadhyay said.

DJB chief Kapil Mishra in August last year had highlighted the alleged scam in hiring water tankers, which caused a loss of Rs 400 crore to the state exchequer. — PTI
