A property dealer has been arrested by the Delhi Police following a complaint by a 29-year-old married woman, who has alleged that he was raping her for the past two months in Karawal Nagar in North-East Delhi.

According to the police, the accused is a distant relative of the complainant.

The victim has alleged that the accused came to her house two months ago in the absence of her husband and raped her.

When she tried to spurn his advances, he threatened her with dire consequences. The accused raped her again on December 4, she claimed.

She could not muster the courage to report the matter to the police as the accused had once helped her financially, she said.

The accused was arrested and produced before a Delhi court, which sent him to judicial custody.
