Plea against temple demolition

The Delhi High Court on Friday sought a response from the Centre and the State government on a plea seeking action against government officials who allegedly demolished a temple in south Delhi’s Defence Colony.

A Bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice C. Hari Shankar issued notices to the Centre, the Delhi Police and the South Delhi civic body, and asked them to file a status report. It posted the matter for hearing on September 19.
