Pirated CDs seized

December 29, 2010 07:29 pm | Updated 07:29 pm IST - NEW DELHI:

More than 30,000 pirated Compact Discs (CDs), Digital Video Discs (DVDs) and MP3s of movies have been seized by the Delhi Police Crime Branch with the arrest of two persons.

Acting on a tip-off, the team laid a trap in Lajpat Rai Market on Monday and arrested Abhay Jain (38) and Sarfaraz alias Mastan (26). The CDs, DVDs and MP3s of several Hindi and English movies, including Tees Mar Khan, Toonpur Ka Super Hero and Isi Life Mein were allegedly seized. During interrogation, the two purportedly told the police that they had procured the pirated stuff from a counterfeiter in Lajpat Rai Market itself.

Abhay is a resident of Dariban Kalan in Delhi. Sarfaraz belongs to Darbhanga in Bihar.
