NSUI candidate Rocky Tuseed becomes DUSU president

Rocky Tuseed from the NSUI won the post of president of the Delhi University Students' Union (DUSU) on Wednesday. Kunal Sherawat of the NSUI won the post of vice president.

The other two posts were won by the ABVP's Mahamedhaa Nagar for General Secretary and Uma Shankar for Joint Secretary.

Last year the ABVP has won 3 seats and NSUI 1.

Elections to the DUSU were conducted across several colleges amid tight security on Tuesday.

This year, the polls saw an increase in turnout with 42.8% students coming out to vote. Last year, the turnout was 36.9%. Over 1.20 lakh students were eligible to cast their vote this time around.
