No lead in dead cousins case

October 12, 2011 11:03 am | Updated November 17, 2021 12:54 am IST - NEW DELHI:

The police are yet to make a breakthrough in the mysterious deaths of two young cousins in Rohini here on Sunday.

“We have examined phone records of the deceased, Vijay Garg, 36, and Suresh Gupta, 35, but nothing suspicious has been found yet. The liquor found inside their car has been sent to a forensic science laboratory. The report, which is expected in a couple of days, will establish if it contained any poisonous substance,” said a police officer.

Although the police suspect that Vijay and Suresh were consuming liquor, they did not find any glasses inside the vehicle that was parked near the area police station.

Enquiries by the police have revealed Suresh visited his cousin mostly on weekends. On Sunday he, along with his wife, mother and children, had gone to see a relative who had recently given birth to a baby at Jaipur Golden Hospital. Afterwards, he dropped his family at Vijay's house.

Following that, both went out in his car around 8.30 p.m.

They were found in an unconscious state half-an-hour later and declared brought dead at the nearby Jaipur Golden Hospital.
