The infant who was found alive after being declared dead by MAX Hospital on November 29 passed away on Wednesday, family informed.
The boy's uncle Deepak said, "Yesterday, the doctors told us he was critical and around 12:30 p.m. today, they told us he was no more".
The infant, the family fondly called 'Champ', was admitted in Aggarwal Nursing Home in Pitampura on November 29 after the family realised he was alive.
Born to his 20-year-old mother Varsha with his twin sister, who was declared dead at birth, the boy was found alive when his grandfather Praveen felt him moving. The family was taking the twins for last rites at the time.
The police have registered a case based on the family's complaint alleging medical negligence by MAX Hospital . Delhi government's preliminary probe revealed that the hospital failed to conduct ECG tracing before declaring the boy dead.
