A four-year-old girl was raped and left bleeding allegedly by her neighbour in a slum in Outer Delhi's Shahbad Dairy on Sunday. The girl is hospitalised with severe injuries to her private parts.

Delhi Commission for Women chief, Swati Maliwal, who met the victim at Dr. BS Ambedkar Hospital in Rohini said her body was marked with scratches, allegedly inflicted by the accused.

The incident took place on Sunday afternoon while the girl was playing outside her home. Her parents who work odd jobs were away when a 30-year-old neighbour lured the girl away to his room and allegedly raped her.
