MBA student shot at outside house

October 03, 2011 11:26 am | Updated 11:26 am IST - NEW DELHI:

A 22-year-old MBA student was shot at and injured outside her house in Narela here on Sunday.

Neha, a resident of Shivaji Nagar, was walking towards her home after parking her car just a few metres away around 8-30 p.m. when two young men on a motorcycle opened fire at her. One of the bullets hit her in the waist and another in the hand. She was taken to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and is said to be out of danger.

Her father is a businessman and owns a shop in the grain market. Neha is pursuing MBA through distance education.

The police suspect personal rivalry. “She was not robbed. It seems the culprits are known to the family,” said a senior police officer.
