A 24-year-old man was murdered by a neighbour, who suspected the victim of having an affair with his mother, in South-East Delhi’s Nizamuddin on Saturday.
According to the police, the incident took place late on Saturday night when Nayeem was going home, but was intercepted by the accused, Alameen alias Lefty.
“Locals told us that around 9 p.m. Alameen confronted Nayeem and talked about the relationship between his mother and Nayeem claiming that he had seen both of them in a compromising position. When the victim refuted all the allegations, the accused stabbed Nayeem,” said a senior police officer.
The accused fled the scene while Nayeem was rushed to AIIMS Trauma Centre, but was declared brought dead.
