Lawyer receives threat letter

A police complaint has been filed by Ajay Kumar Agarwal on Saturday, who fought 2014 Lok Sabha election against Congress president Sonia Gandhi from Rae Bareli in UP, claiming that he has received a letter threatening to kill him.

Mr. Agarwal, who is a Supreme Court lawyer, said he received the handwritten threat letter on Friday afternoon, following which the complaint was filed at the Hazrat Nizamuddin police station.

“The letter written in Hindi, used filthy and abusive language against me and BJP national leaders.The person who wrote the letter also threatened to kill me," he said.

A case of criminal intimidation has been registered and the investigation has started said the police.
