For the second day, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his three cabinet colleagues on Wednesday woke up inside Raj Niwas, where they have been staging a sit-in since Monday evening.

Mr. Kejriwal, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and Ministers Gopal Rai and Satyendar Jain have been demanding that Lieutenant-Governor Anil Baijal intervene to end what they term is an “illegal strike by officers.” The L-G and officers, on the other hand, have denied any strike.

The officers have restricted their communication with the political executive to the written form, in protest against the alleged attack on the Chief Secretary at the Chief Minister's residence in February by Aam Aadmi Party MLAs.

Having spent two nights in the visitors' room at Raj Niwas, Mr. Kejriwal said in a tweet that Mr. Sisodia had joined and Mr. Jain, who is on indefinite hunger strike since Tuesday.

The Chief Minister added that will power was their biggest strength, saying the struggle would continue.
